Technology has greatly impacted our manufacturing capabilities. The equipment shown here utilizes overhead cameras to identify where lumber should be cut to gain the most yield. An electronic red line projects onto the lumber, directing the machine operator on how to process each piece.

The summer heat in the south has passed, so the team prepared chili for their employee appreciation luncheon. I’m guessing there was talk about college basketball and football in the lunchroom.

Yesterday, we completed the Health Fairs at our sites. This event allowed employees of all shifts to learn additional information about their benefits and make healthy choices. The theme was “Under Construction, Building Better Health.”
