Congratulations to BE student, Nicholas Bray! Nicholas was the winner of section 5 in the Health Sciences at the 2024 University Undergraduate Research and Arts Forum (UURAF) hosted by Undergraduate Research at Michigan State University

Internships and co-ops are an important part of the college experience! Over 80% of BE students at MSU participate in an internship or co-op program during their undergraduate studies.

BE assistant professor Ilce Medina Meza is receiving funding through the Sustainable Michigan Fund to research how nanotechnology can be used to fight sour rot, a disease in wine grapes.

Congratulations to Biosystems Engineering student Ava Chavez! Her poster, Salmonella Lethality During Pilot-Scale Rotisserie Chicken Roasting, won first place in the 3rd section of Nutrition and Food Science at Undergraduate Research at Michigan State University 's 2024 University Undergraduate Research and Arts Forum (UURAF).

Three projects focusing on climate solutions from the Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering Department were awarded Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development - MDARD Farm Innovation Grants. The grant is to support and develop innovative solutions to problems facing MI's Food and Ag Industry.
