Treehouse Community! Our waitlist is overflowing.
We are finally getting close to opening up another classroom at our adjacent location - but as we prepare the space for our licensing visit we have started a list of some things we still need. We are coming to our Community first to see if we can get these items donated - we aren't looking for anyone to buy them - but more of a 'Buy Nothing' approach.

I will update this list as we obtain items or identify other needs:

--Small to medium sized Area rugs (smoke free/pet free home)

Step Up Day 2024! Tonight we honored “Oh The Places You’ll Go” of 95 Treehouse Students including 18 rising Kindergarten Students! Our Dr. Seuss inspired event including truffula trees, hot air balloons, and an obstacle course was unfortunately interrupted by the brewing thunder storm but not before we had an opportunity for each student to be called under the Truffula Tree Arches! Calling all families to post photos of your child Stepping Up! Congratulations to all Treehouse students and their next steps.

We currently have an opening for an EEC Certified Preschool Teacher (full time, 40 hours/wk) and an EEC Certified Infant/Toddler Teacher (full time, 7:45-4:45 daily).

We are offering a full time infant spot and/or a full time preschool spot for the right individual - it is a beautiful experience to work in the program that your child attends! Please note this is at 50% off of regular tuition. This benefit is only offered for a short time as we will be looking to fill these student spots quickly.

We are closed for 1 week in December, 1 week in February, 1 week in April, and 2 weeks in the summer. These weeks are unpaid except for holidays that fall within.

The child needs to be between the ages of 21-27 months old as of September 1, 2024.

Monday/Thursday/Friday only from 7:30am-4:30pm:

We currently have an opening. This spot is only available to an child with birth date between May 1, 2023 and July 31, 2023.
Priority will be given to families already on our waitlist and to families who are looking to begin care in April 2024.

This opening at Treehouse is only due to the natural aging up process that occurs; our enrollment is very steady in all classrooms and we are rarely seeing openings in older classrooms. As we look ahead to our infants aging up to toddler classrooms, we will have future infant openings.

We cannot waiver from these dates of birth for this opening.

This morning with Tawny’s love in our hearts, we re-open and do what we do best… meet children where they are. It’s time to hug her “babies!”

It is with the heaviest hearts that this evening we share with our Treehouse Community the unexpected and tragic loss of our beloved Miss Tawny. Tawny Simmons has been a full-time Mini Oaks educator since September 2022.. Her genuine warmth and bold charisma touched the hearts of our entire Treehouse Community. The outpouring of love we have received today for our program and for her family speaks volumes to those she has touched. Treehouse will remain closed on Tuesday, March 19, as we allow our program time to grieve, and to begin to process how we will support the educators, children and families in our program through such a devastating loss.

We will be holding a tea-light vigil tomorrow evening from 5:30-7pm in the Outdoor Classroom at Treehouse. We welcome all members of our Treehouse Community to attend - educators, families, and our extended community support - to join us to honor Tawny.

Due to icy road conditions, Treehouse will follow the ELPS guidance and open on a 2-hour delay. We will open at 9:30am today - Wednesday, January 17th.

Early Elms Morning Preschool will be closed.
Extraordinary Elms School Age program will be open at 9:30am!

This rare opening at Treehouse is due to increasing enrollment in our infant classroom (The Saplings!) as we have recently established a complete Infant Teaching team! We are looking for specific ages as we need to consider the aging-up process into future classroom spaces and an infant of this age range is the age range we specifically need to ensure the incoming child has a space in the toddler classroom as they age up- as well as ensure that we have an opening for already planned incoming infant.

We cannot waiver from these dates of birth for this opening.

Today I want to acknowledge how thankful I am for the opportunity to lead Treehouse – from its roots 11 years ago in our home to our new environment where children are honored and early childhood is valued for all its wonder & beauty. I am thankful to be working with the dedicated Treehouse team of administrators, educators, and volunteers. I am thankful for the joyful students. I am thankful for the parents and their trust in us. I am thankful for the support we have from our community. And I am also personally thankful for my family and their endless support of the Treehouse vision.

I recognize that holidays can also bring about sadness - I send my support out to those of you who are grieving, to those of you who are missing loved ones, and to those of you who struggle with holidays for personal reasons.
