Dear KIPP Esperanza Families,

We will be hosting our first KIPP Family Association (KFA) meeting of the school year Wednesday, August 28 at 4:15PM. The meeting would be held in person at our campus in room 205 but would also be available via Zoom for those that cannot attend in person.

For our meeting we are looking to form a committee of 8 to 10 family members that want to help with our school events such as:

Día de Mu***os
Posada

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We will be hosting our annual Día de Mu***os Celebration for the second time in KIPP Esperanza history! The event will take place November 2nd from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Our mission is to celebrate and honor the souls of our loved who are no longer with us through the displaying of beautiful altars, commonly known as ofrendas, created by students.

This is a community event and we would love the participation and assistance of all families and students.

Just like last year this event is looking to sell food and raise funds for the Spanish classes and the school during this celebration. Profesora Galarza, and the Spanish students are looking for parents and guardians who are interested in donating food, volunteering their time the day of the event to set up and clean.

As a reminder, we have Parent Orientation this Thursday, August 10 from 5-7 PM! Join us to purchase uniforms, get your student's Chromebook, meet the Principal, and more. All families who attend will receive one free uniform shirt! // Como recordatorio, ¡tenemos orientación para padres este jueves 10 de agosto de 5 a 7 p. m.! Our office is open for uniform sales from 9 AM to 3 PM from Monday to Friday. Hello KIPP Esperanza Families,

Join us for a joyous day of Service in the Community on April 29, 2023, at KIPP Esperanza High School KESH Is proud to have been chosen by Rebuilding Together Peninsula as a grant recipient for revitalizing and preparing our school campus!

We invite all families, students, staff, and community partners to participate and help us complete different projects around campus. We will have different sections of work as gardening, carpentry, landscaping, painting, and more; we are looking for project leaders in other areas. Don't hesitate to contact Ms. Torres if you want to be a leader in a specific work area at (650)690-1144. Please RSVP if you plan on participating; we welcome part-time shifts if that aligns more with your schedule.

Donations

If you would like to participate but your schedule doesn't fall within the hours of the event, we are looking for some donations from families to support you during the working day. Check out the list above for the donations list!
KIPP Esperanza is fully appreciated for all the support parents constantly bring to the Esperanza Community! We look forward to seeing our families coming together and having another successful event!

Breakfast and Lunch will be provided for those that participate.

Please make sure your children come to school in uniform, following our simple dress code. Finally, a friendly and important health reminder to test for COVID before your return! A complete set of COVID tests were passed out to all students and staff before we went to break. Please test your student before returning from Spring Break.

Hello, Esperanza!

As we approach the end of the school year, we want all families to be aware of our final exam schedule. Students will be taking their final exams from June 6 - 8. These exams comprise 10% of a student's semester grade and therefore have an important impact on students' progress to graduation. Attendance on these school days is critical to ensure students' semester grades are accurate and timely.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me or another member of the school leadership team.

Friendly reminder that starting tomorrow will have a two-day Bake Sale on our campus! There will be champurrado, conchas and other baked goods for sale. All proceeds go towards the prom dance.

When & Where: Thursday, March 16 from 8:00am - 8:30am by the entrance gates & Friday, March, 17 during lunch by the lunch area.
Who: All Esperanza teachers and students are welcome and encourage to purchase some champurrado and/or baked goods!
