What a beautiful project! We did our first cutting from our community flower garden yesterday for our Tuesday evening pantry guests and it was a lovely success! We are so thankful to for funding this new project at Good Neighbors. The beauty the garden brings to the neighborhood and the smiles on the faces of our guests are worth all the hard work planting, weeding and watering this garden on these very hot days.

This is a great option because it is not nearly as busy as our Wednesday pantry, but the selection is the same, and sometimes even better!

Rhode Island Community Food Bank

We are partnering with East Bay Community Action Program to host a Housing Clinic NEXT WEDNESDAY!
This event will take place during our food pantry and lots of information will be available for everyone who would like it.

FOOD FOR KIDS Summer Pantry Program is starting TONIGHT at Rumford and Tomorrow at Riverside Good Neighbors Food Pantries! This program provides additional kid-friendly breakfast, lunch and snack options for families with school-age children.

Did you know….Good Neighbors was the proud winner of the Community Partnership Award from Rhode Island Community Food Bank at their annual conference this year. Nominated by CEO Andrew Schiff, a major factor in us receiving this honor was the community collaboration that led to the acquisition of our new satellite pantry in Rumford, RI. We are so grateful for our partnership with the RI Community Food Bank, and are so honored to be the recipient of this award for 2024!

Our satellite pantry is open in Rumford tonight from 5-7pm. This pantry has both a choice pantry and a really great express option as well.
All guests are welcome to this pantry once per month.

Here is our menu for next week and also a reminder that tomorrow is our first Summer Lunchtime BINGO! Come enjoy a hot meal and a friendly game of BINGO!

Did somebody call BINGO? We want to have a little summertime fun at Good Neighbors and so we’ve added a crowd favorite: BINGO! In addition to our Breakfast Bingo each Friday, our community kitchen will host lunchtime BINGO shortly after lunch service starts on every Monday and Thursday throughout the season. Lunch service for our free hot meals begins at 11am and BINGO will begin at 11:30. Lunches on these days will be summertime classic favorites. You can come and join the fun at anytime. All are welcome and it is free to play. There are a variety of fun little prizes.
