Meet Pei-Yu! She is a wonderful young artist graduating from Rhode Island School of Design this June with a Bachelor’s in Industrial Design. We had the pleasure of getting to know her and work with her for the past 6 months. She is kind and gracious, smart and patient. She is a beautiful soul and artist. Pei-Yu is spreading her wings and flying into the next chapter of her life. We wish her all the best in her prospects and will miss her dearly!🫶🏼

Today we made delicious cupcakes with the beautiful and talented, Kelsey and Diana Brown University, The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University students. Thank you for spending your morning with us!🧁

The Story Of Pressed Flowers

A very special flower, the most beautiful and elegant of all flowers in the garden, once blossomed for the world to see. She sat in fertile ground daily enjoying the breeze of the warmth mild sunshine, and the thousands of hues of color and beauty around her. Then one day, the flower was removed from the world she knew and placed in a dark place.

Time passed and one day the flower was taken out from the darkness. With skillful hands and artistry, along with other flowers, was created a magnificent work of art. The flower became a prized showcase. As she looked out from the showroom window at her other fellow flowers in the garden that have since withered, she could only ponder why she was chosen for such a grand purpose. It was then a voice spoke with great love. “To give you everlasting beauty, a future and hope.”

A beautiful day out on the patio! The roses are blooming, the sun is shining and we had a nice visit with Mizzen. Thank you Deryl Pace Lavers for bringing her in to visit!

Nursing Home Week was a week filled with friends, family, laughs, fun and great food! Celebrating life in our home is what we do best and we always invite you to come celebrate along with us! And in the true meaning of Nursing Home Week, we want to THANK our wonderful staff who always go above and beyond!

This is Project CHICK!🐥
We learned about bird life cycles while helping preserve the endangered Dominique and Rhode Island Red Chicken Breeds.
A farm educator visited us with everything we needed to incubate our clutch of eggs. In 21 days our chicks hatched. We watched them grow and have returned them to the farm. Hope you enjoyed the journey!

Thank you to everyone who attended our Open House to Introduce The Hattie Ide Chaffee Arts Academy & Friends of Hattie. What an amazing group of talented people. We are so happy to have these beautiful programs in our home!
