Acolyte's new dimmable drivers are a hit! Our UL Listed constant voltage Class 2 intelligent LED drivers provide high efficiency and great heat dissipation with dimmable 24V output. They feature an enclosure with isolated wire connections. Two of the new drivers are engineered for use with DALI-2 systems, and two are designed for use with Lutron’s Athena wireless node control systems. LED neon from Acolyte provides an ethereal glow for the brilliant Barry Art Museum at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va. The distinct structure serves as the southern gateway to the Old Dominion campus. The 24,000-sq-ft museum features a brick exterior and cast-concrete trim typical of other ODU buildings, but with a forward-looking design by Saunders + Crouse Architects. The signature element is the Barry’s 40-ft serpentine façade of channel glass. The wall is a fitting prelude to the large collection of glass sculpture on display inside. The translucent glass wall warms and brightens the lobby, balconies and corridors with diffused LED lights. We’re always happy to see museum-quality Acolyte LEDs on display!

Great Jones Distilling Co. was the first new distillery to open in Manhattan since prohibition when it started welcoming customers in 2021. Congratulations to our friends at Focus Lighting! Their design for Chasing Rabbits in Vail, Colo., earned the inaugural DLFNY Beacon Award of Excellence in the Hospitality/Retail category. The future keeps getting brighter for GENLED Brands! Continued growth has led the company to relocate its European headquarters to a state-of-the-art facility in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The new facility includes 2,000 sq m for offices for the full European sales and accounting teams, a development and testing section for the engineering team, and more operations space for production, assembly, storage and shipping, with detailed plans to expand into another 3,500 sq m soon afterwards.

The parent company for international LED manufacturers Acolyte (architectural lighting) and AgiLight (signage lighting), GENLED Brands will create new clean rooms for SMT circuit board machines, polyurethane treatment systems and LED encapsulation and end cap machines. The company will also incorporate a new photometrics room for IES testing with state-of-the-art Viso Systems light measurement tools.

“After two years of preparation, GENLED Brands is consolidating its signage equipment and purchasing new machines to support our architectural division,” said Scott Vontobel, CEO & president of GENLED Brands. “From staff to equipment and storage space, this relocation gives us the ability to serve our customers even better.”

GENLED Brands has the keys and has taken over the space. The move will commence in early November and should be complete by the end of the 4th quarter. The company will continue operations throughout the transition, and the European staff will be fully accessible with support from GENLED Brands’ international team.
