The City of Eau Claire Parks & Recreation Department is working on a Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (CORP) and we are looking for input from the community! This information will help us plan the next 5 years of our Parks and Recreation Programs.

Hey all! No need to sign up for lessons this weekend- just show up! We’ll be there, ready to help you learn how to ride or fine tune anything you’re working on 🤙🛹❤️

Seems crazy to think someone thought it necessary to even put this law on the books and make skateboarding illegal statewide… very happy someone is trying to change that.

Skateboarding is not a crime. Except in Wisconsin, it still kind of is. This session, I introduced a bipartisan bill to allow skateboarding on local roadways (subject to local control). This would essentially treat boards the same way we treat bicycles or inline skates on neighborhood streets.

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to meet with advocates who have been pushing on this issue for years. It may be a grind, but I have hope that in 2025 we can finally kick flip this bill over the finish line.

Today’s event was awesome! I don’t think these photos do it justice- there were sooo many people at Boyd Park! Creating great memories and experiences around skateboarding is a major part of what we set out to do as an organization- the community we’re building is a beautiful one! Huge thank you to all the wonderful people who volunteered their time and skills- you’re the ones that make events like this possible ❤️🛹
