Seasonal Visitor Guidelines –
Across our Illinois and Wisconsin communities, there has been a significant increase in confirmed respiratory illnesses including Influenza, COVID-19 and RSV.
Due to this increase, HSHS and public health authorities recommend the following visiting guidelines:
A limit of only two people should visit a patient at any one time.
In addition, please do not visit patients if you:
• Have a cold or any flu-like symptoms including, fever or chills, sore throat, body or muscle aches, headache, cough or runny nose
• Are under 18 years of age (or age determined by the facility)
• Are pregnant
As a reminder, adherence to best practices for getting immunized and good hand and respiratory hygiene can reduce disease spread. This includes wearing masks as part of standard and/or transmission-based precautions.
