Certified Nature Explorers here! Today went ventured around our amazing campus to gather treasures and create our very own Nature Potion Jars! 🌿🪻🪨🫙

ISM’s middle school co-ed soccer team played their first game of the season today! It was a hard fought game and they are excited to get back on the field for the next match ⚽️🥅

📣 A huge shout out to recent ISM graduate Ava Kletti (‘24) who took 4th place in her first Division 1 Collegiate Cross Country race representing Colgate University! At ISM Ava was All Conference in Cross Country and Track and on the All State Academic Team in both Cross Country and Track. She was a great Captain and participated in State tournament three years in a row.

Go, Ava! Your Husky family is still cheering for you! 🎉

Afterschool activities started this week and we’ve been having so much fun! Martial Arts is back and we’re very excited about it.

Ian Looser (‘25), the instructor in the foreground, is a National Karate second degree black belt who started his karate career at this exact ISM Extended Day class in Kindergarten, 12 years ago. It’s now come full circle for him as he is now helping instruct Extended Day karate. 🥋💫

ISM’s annual SLO Leadership Team retreat is this week! The new team of student leaders came back from summer break to prepare for the upcoming school year. Day 1 included a presentation on this summer’s Student Life Training Conference in Athens, group discussions and planning for a successful year ahead. Of course they also made time to make a meal, enjoy some ice cream, and have a great time together. The training week is off to a great start!

ISM Discovery Kids Camp wrapped up on Friday, where students enjoyed a fun and enriching summer! We had a blast with hands-on activities and lots of fun in the sun! ☀😎💦

Summer camp is in full swing at our ISM campus (local day camp) and Ashwicke Hall (international sleepover camp) in Bath, England!

The 2024 Student Life Training Conference in Athens, Greece has begun! Malaika B.,Head Prefect (‘25) and Zyva I., Deputy Head of Activities (‘26) jumped right in to meet other SLO prefects during the opening team building exercises. One hundred students and 30 Student Life Coordinators will embark on a week of learning, discussions, and adventures around Athens!

New this year: Computer Science & Coding Camp for grades 6-12! 💻

What a week it’s been! Last Thursday was a big day for ECE students. Preschool and PreK celebrated their accomplishments (and excitement) at the annual Parents & Popcicles event. Kindergartners had their Letterland Performance + Graduation Ceremony — now they are ready to make the big move upstairs to Lower School! We are so proud of all of our youngest learners. 🎓🌈🎉

Meet Lee! 🎉

Lee joined ISM for their senior year. Lee has enjoyed volleyball 🏐 and Mr. Lee’s music classes 🎼. Lee also shares that they are thankful for the support from Mr. Cohen throughout the college application process.

🎓Lee will attend the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities this fall. Lee intends to major in engineering and their future goal is to work in the defense industry.

👨‍🎓 ISM Class of 2024

Meet Aarya! 🎉

Aarya has been a student at ISM for 13 years, since KG! He says he has had the benefit of developing strong personal connections with teachers and students across grade levels. He adds that it creates a more enjoyable learning environment and allows him to view things from a different perspective.

Over the years, Aarya has been involved in a variety of activities at ISM including theater 🎭, math team, and SLO, to name a few. He shares that SLO taught him communication, leadership, and teamwork 🤝. From starting the morning announcements on video to leading ISM Against Hunger, he has learned how to keep thinking of new ways to do things and rely on others for support.

🎓This fall, Aarya will attend Carnegie Mellon University, majoring in engineering. He is looking forward to discovering opportunities on campus and networking.

Congratulations, Aarya! 👏 You deserve all the success you work toward! ✨
