Today we ran the final sea trial on our latest 27DC, where we tested systems, set up electronics, and validated performance. She is our first 27DC with a Seakeeper 1, which makes this model incredibly stable and even sweeter. She’ll be heading to Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 next week, where she will will serve as tender to a large sportfish.

Albemarle Boats and Spencer Sportfish are proud to announce the debut of the Albemarle 53 Spencer Edition at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, October 25-29, 2023. Albemarle Boats and Spencer Sportfish formed a partnership to design and build this semi-custom Carolina boat line. Keith Privott, Albemarle Director of Sales and Product Development, commented on the project. “Our team is truly excited as many months of planning and construction are now coming to life. The 53 hull was vacuum infused with vinylester resin and composite core, making it our strongest, yet lightest design to date. The entire boat is loaded with innovative details that will allow our customers to go further and do more.” Highlights include MTU 10V 1600 HP power, Furuno Omni Sonar, Pipewelders half tower, Release Marine chairs, three stateroom / two head layout, and a 160 square foot teak cockpit with mezzanine. Paul Spencer, President of Spencer Sportfish, stated, “I have always appreciated boats in the 50 foot class and recognized their competitive tournament ability. This project is a return to our boatbuilding roots, and we are looking forward to having this 53 footer to offer.”
