IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!
After the unexpected financial hardships we faced over the last year and a half. Unfortunately
GREY MATTER INK IS NOW CLOSED!
It saddens me to say, but we just can't keep this location open anymore. First the pandemic forced the shop to shutdown (without compensation), Then my fiancee's unfortunate accident that resulted in both of her ankles broken (at the same time, living on the 3rd floor), To top it all off the majority of my clients also faced similar hardships during the pandemic (art work and tattoos not being a necessity) Business just never picked up enough to recover the amount of lost income or enough to repay past rent debts, as well as keep going month to month. Sadly the time has come to close down the studio.
This does NOT mean I'm quitting tattooing! I will just be at a different location.
I have already been looking into a few different places to work out of, and I have a few things in the works. I will be back to doing what I do best in no time. also before I get a ton of messages I just so it's clear, Any deposits, credit and certificates (that are not expired) will be honored no matter where I am at! I am just moving on to the next chapter in my life.
It truly was a huge dream come true opening my first place solo. To have the freedom doing what I love bringing amazing artwork to life whenever I wanted was incredible.This
definitely won't be the last studio I open.
I want to thank everyone that supported our shop. hopefully I will have a new location soon and can reopen GMI. I apologize for the inconvenience.
