The mainstream sports percussion/vibration tools are way too strong, for the delicate muscles around the head, neck and face. But what do you do when you have muscle tension in those areas?

It’s been a while since I have posted on socials. In truth, I got pretty burnt out by the constant churn of content, self commodification, and performance. In truth, I stopped feeling like I had anything to write about or anything to share.

I finally have been feeling like I have things I want to share.

Starting with these amazing new headshots I got recently!

I know, my hair is a lot longer.

Over the last months I have been prioritizing connecting in- person, and have been busy behind the scenes setting up new ways to connect, help my clients, and empower through education.

Long time no talk everyone. I’ve been taking some time for self care and letting some of the things in my life take a pause. I’m starting to feel inspired again and ready to plan new content. So I’m back! Not everyone can handle intense exercise. So I thought I would share my self care activity if the day! Yin yoga for a gentle, whole body stretch. Today I focused on stretching my hips and around my shoulders because we all (myself included) spend a lot of time sitting. Nice to see you. Looking forward to sharing more soon. -Dr. Brenna.

I gown my patients so that I get a clear view of their spine and the muscles surrounding it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

If you saw my earlier post, I uses a pencil to make precise markings. Each person's body is a little different.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I use some massage oil to provide a smooth surface for the pencil, and make sure that it doesn't feel scratchy on the skin. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The small dowels on the front left side help me reach tiny spaces between the bones of the spine. This allows me to use a gentle force to reach the disc between your spinal bones. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And finally, the top are my shoes. They have velcro on the tops so they can fit a wide range of foot sizes, and have a little extra heel so I can accurately compare leg length side to side.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

And even more specific than that, most people report migraines THE DAY AFTER a stressful event, like finishing a big project or meeting a strict deadline. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

During stressful moments, the brain releases chemicals as the body prepares for “fight or flight.” These chemicals cause a range of brain and body changes, including muscle tension and dilation of blood vessels.
