Neuroplasticity is the brain’s ability to change and adapt in response to life experiences. Your brains ability to do this helps promote:

- New learning, skills, and abilities
- Change in dysfunctional patterns of thinking and behaving
- New mindsets

When kids understand their brain’s ability to change over time, they can develop a growth mindset and learn that mistakes help the brain grow and learn. 🧠

Self regulation is the ability to recognize and manage your energy states, emotions, and behaviors. This skill set is important for children to learn in order to succeed in school, work, and life. Social emotional skills also help children with:
-Making friends
-Confidence
-Resolving conflicts
-Gaining awareness of what others are feeling

Self regulation can be learned! The key to learning these skills is coaching kids through big emotions and providing them with a supportive framework. Adults can also help kids become self reflective. When kids are a part of an environment that is reflective and analytic, they can learn to make good decisions while they are upset.
