Infertility is isolating. It's being repeatedly told "no" and hoping for a "yes." It's hating every baby announcement you see because although you are happy for others you are sad for yourself. It's mourning the idea of the life you thought you would have.
Infertility is isolating. It's spending countless hours driving to appointments. It's shots and blood draws. It's feeling defeated after failed cycles and switching clinics. It's thousands of dollars spent on a dream that may never be.
Infertility is isolating, and yes it is all of those hard things mentioned above. But it is also finding a joy in the journey. A lesson in patience and empathy. It's a strengthened relationship with your partner. It's knowing that your experience is different than most but it doesn't make it any less wonderful. It's hope- that one day you too will have your miracle.β

βHappy "transfer-versary" to our sweetest baby girl π©· One year ago, I was out in Colorado praying this was finally going to be the answer to years of prayers and waiting and heartache...and it was! We're forever grateful for Dr. Ehrhart and our sweet nurse Dale at Lone Tree who made us feel like people, not just a number on a patient list, and who offered us the hope (and science) we needed to keep going on this long and hard journey.ββββββββββββββββββHard to believe my little day 5 5AA (ikyk π₯) blastocyst is now 4 months old (and nearly 16 pounds.). We are so grateful every single day to be her parents and to see Charlie shine as a big brother. Worth every shot, every tear, worth all of the really hard days to have her in our arms and to complete our family π©·
Also, shoutout to my sister in law for accompanying me to my appointment that day and taking Amelia's "first" photo. Not many aunties get to be in the room at the time of implantation π
Oh and one last thing- IF and access to reproductive care to grow families like mine and protect women's health is on the ballot this fall. Vote accordingly!β

βThe right to IVF being debated in religious and political spaces right now has me incredibly sad. There should not be shame or judgement towards anyone who utilizes this path. IVF was not our intended route to a family, but how spectacular is it that we have the science to help create something so magnificent?ββββββββββββββββββI will forever be incredibly grateful to the team at CCRM
Houston for their kindness, support, and medical knowledge that brought me the child I was meant to have.β

βWith hearts overflowing with joy and gratitude, we are beyond thrilled to share the most incredible news: We are pregnant!!!ββββββββββββββββββThe road to this moment has been anything but easy. Our journey through IVF was filled with countless challenges, heartbreaks, and moments when we thought our dream might never come true. It has been a path paved with tears, hope, and relentless perseverance.
We owe this miracle to the extraordinary Dr. Surrey whose expertise and unwavering support guided us through the darkest times. To our amazing nurse Kallista, your kindness, encouragement, and gentle care kept us going when the days were hardest. To all the incredible nurses and staff members who stood by us, your dedication and compassion made all the difference. And a special shoutout to the brilliant embryologists, whose meticulous work and dedication have brought us this miracle.
For everyone still on this journey, know that miracles can happen. We never thought this day would come, especially after so much difficult news. Our hearts go out to those still fighting through every negative pregnancy test and every shot. We understand the pain, the longing, and the strength it takes to continue.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way.
We carry your strength with us and hope our story brings a glimmer of hope to those still on their journey.

βMade with love and a little science and of course the help of an amazing gestational carrier [who we love and adore, ]ββββββββββββββββββI never imagined that when we went through the process of fertility preservation over 4 years ago that it would lead us down the path of working with a gestational carrier. If I learned anything throughout my own experience with cancer & infertility, it's that we are not in control and sometimes we have to lean into the hardship and trust the process along the way. Believe me when I say this was NOT something I have or ever will perfect!
While the journey to get here wasn't easy, we are so incredibly blessed to have our miracle baby wrapped in our arms and we are eternally grateful to our fertility team and our GC for their roles in making our dreams of growing our family come true!
Everyone who experiences some level of infertility has their own unique story. Regardless of where you are in the process, whether you're just getting started, still stuck in the trenches, or finally seeing the light at the end of a very dark tunnel, I see you and I wish you strength, love & hope in your journeyβ

βOne year ago today, we implanted a 5 day embryo into Vicays uterus, in hopes to get pregnant. She worked so hard before with multiple surgeries and shots to make sure her body was absolutely ready to make and have a baby. Going into that day one year ago, we were so excited and hopeful but we knew there was a chance that it wouldn't take but honestly kept that far out of our mind as possible cuz we KNEW we were gonna get pregnant this time. We both just had a gut feeling that this was our time to become pregnant and it was! This little boy has changed our lives.
