Holy God, heavenly Father, in the waters of the flood you saved the chosen, and in the wilderness of temptation you protected your Son from sin. Renew us in the gift of baptism. May your holy angels be with us, that the wicked foe may have no power over us, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
Amen.
Thank you to all who donated and who came out to put together care packages for those without a roof. We were able to put together over 60 care packages and still have 2 big boxes of loose donations for the shelters. All packages will bless those in Edison and New Brunswick.
Come join us Friday at 7pm as we create Care Packages for those in our community who are without a roof over their heads. The packages will be delivered to the Edison Homeless shelter Sunday at 2pm.

Big Game 2018
Big Game 2018
It’s game time! While you are cheering on your team and celebrating with family and friends — let’s help tackle hunger together, Churches and synod's in the ELCA alike.
From kickoff to the final whistle of the Super Bowl, Team Philadelphia and Team New England will seek to outdo one another for the sake of the gospel. The fans that donate the most through their team page to ELCA World Hunger by midnight central time on February 4 will help their synod take home the title of ELCA World Hunger Champion — regardless of the outcome of the football game. Give here to end hunger and it's causes: http://support.elca.org/site/TR/Events/General?pg=team&fr_id=1240&team_id=2200

All are beloved to God. All belong to God. No matter what.
Our hymnbook includes this prayer which seems appropriate today:
O God, you made us in your own image and redeemed us through Jesus your Son. Look with compassion on the whole human family; take away the arrogance and hatred that infect our hearts; break down the walls that separate us; unite us in bonds of love; and, through our struggle and confusion, work to accomplish your purposes on earth; so that, in your good time, every people and nation may serve you in harmony around your heavenly throne; through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen. (Evangelical Lutheran Worship)

The Lutheran Churches in the Raritan Cluster are gathering at St. Paul's (445 Old Post Rd) on Saturday evening at 5:30 p.m. to celebrate the Epiphany! This festival service of Holy Communion will include a children's message and activities.
Instead of Sunday school on Sunday morning, we're encouraging all children and families to come out Saturday evening to be part of this event.
If you would like to lend your voice to our combined choir, come at 4:30 p.m. to rehearse. Refreshments and fellowship with our fellow Lutherans will follow the service, and we will undecorated the sanctuary.
The Baptism of our Lord, January 7
On Sunday morning at 10 a.m. we will celebrate Jesus' baptism and remember how we have been washed in God's grace and love and reborn children of God. In response to God's gift of life, what can we say but "Yes!"
At the start of another year, we have a chance to reaffirm our baptism and to hold each other accountable to living out our baptismal callings.
Merry...wait a minute...with Pastor Leah.
