As we hate to be the bearer of bad news once again, we must inform you all of the sudden passing of yet another one of our billiard brethren way too soon. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of our beloved Allen Wong a.k.a. “Buddha”. Always positive with a huge smile and a pleasure to see and chat with several times each week, Allen will be deeply missed at Sandcastle. Rest in peace our dear friend.

Obituary:

EAST BRUNSWICK – ALLEN WONG passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at his home in East Brunswick. He was 49 years old.

Born in New York, New York, to Chee Ming Lee, he resided there for 8 years, before moving to New Jersey, and settling down in East Brunswick 41 years ago.

Allen worked for UPS in Monroe Township for 5 years.

In his spare time, he enjoyed playing pool, hitting the gym, snowboarding, watching really bad movies, and trying the restaurants that he found from watching his favorite show “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives”. He loved spending time with his family and especially the three dogs in his life, Ponzu, Coco, and Yut Yut.

Allen is predeceased by his great-grandfather, Won Ho; and his grandmother, King Ho Lee Won.

Surviving are his mother, Chee Ming Lee of East Brunswick; his three sisters, Carmen Van Skyhawk and her husband, Eric, of Metuchen, Eva Sadowski and her husband, Brian, of Franklin Park, and Iris Wong of East Brunswick.

Family and friends may visit on Monday, April 22, 2024, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm, at The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, NJ. Cremation will be private. For directions, please view our “Events” listed below.
