Happy National Salesperson Day! We wanted to take this opportunity to introduce another member of our outstanding sales team, James Glassman! Read on to learn more about James and his experience.

Q: How long have you been in the industry?
A: 9 years. I took a sales role in Charlotte for an equipment rental company after graduating college and have been in the Construction industry since. It was completely new to me at that time, and I’m still learning things every day almost a decade later.

Q: What attracted you to a role in sales?
A: I knew sales would allow me to have a career in building relationships. I’ve always enjoyed the rapport part of sales. Learning about a customer, a process, an organization, what they’re looking to solve for, etc. It’s pretty cool being able to help someone do their job better, or more efficiently. You can directly make an impact.

Q: What is your favorite holiday activity?
A: Hanging out with family makes the holidays great. Nothing tops that. Although eating during the holidays is a close second..

Q: What is your favorite part about working for Tenna?
A: Tenna has shown me the potential of technology in construction. I’m constantly learning from people within Tenna, industry experience is everywhere you turn. Tenna’s origin in construction sets us apart. It helped us identify a major need in the industry, and we’ve developed the right technology with the contractor in mind. Not too many organizations have that perspective. Our goal to help construction companies while understanding the ins and outs of their days is unique.

We cannot be more eager to introduce the next member of the , Joe Lostoski! Joe is on our Sales Development team and we want you to get to know a little bit more about him.

Q: How long have you worked in the industry?
A: 'I've been in the construction industry almost my entire life. My father owns and operates a mining and hauling business where I worked in the field and in the office. I’ve also worked in sales for estimating software and steel before coming to Tenna as well.'

Q: What is your best advice for someone facing a challenging work week?
A: 'The best advice for a challenging work week is to focus more on the bigger picture and what the results of the challenging work week will bring. I look at my tasks at work, whether hard or easy, as all being seeds I planted for myself. I know if I focus on how these short term challenges can help me get to my desired result, it makes tackling the challenges on a weekly basis much easier for myself.'

Q: What is your favorite fall activity?
A: 'My favorite fall activity is spending time hiking in the woods with my friends and family. I grew up a stones throw away from Cuyahoga Falls National Park. I still feel I was spoiled having cross country practice every day back in high school running the beautiful different trails in the valley.'

Q: What is your favorite part about working for Tenna?
A: 'My favorite part about working for Tenna is being part of a company that is not only passionate about solving problems in the construction industry, but also comes from construction. Tenna was born from working out in the field for Conti Civil. I love working with a team that understands what’s it’s like being out in the field on a job site when we are introducing our brand. I knew from a young age I wanted to help the hard working men and woman in the construction industry because I saw how much it gave back to my family. For my job training, I was given a stipend to buy steel toe boots to do a job walk. I didn’t need go buy those boots, I already had my own pair, broken in and caked with sand from my time working for my father’s construction business.'

Some of the at our headquarters in New Jersey got together yesterday for a Thanksgiving potluck. It was a great time filled with great food!

We are so excited to introduce you to Colleen Lyerla! Colleen is our Director of Marketing Communications who always brightens our day and does what it takes to get the job done every time.

Q: How long have you worked in the industry?
A: 'I've been in marketing for 27 years, SaaS for 7 years, and SaaS for construction for 1 year and 7 months.'

Q: What is one sentence you would tell your younger self, just starting out?
A: '"Just say yes." My best and most worthwhile career experiences have been when I said yes to something I really didn't understand or have experience with, but I took the leap anyway. People will value your enthusiasm and energy more than anything else and you'll be surprised how much patience you'll be granted while you find your way.'

Q: What is your favorite fall time activity?
A: 'Hiking with my family. We moved to Ithaca a few years ago and "Ithaca is Gorges." There are amazing waterfalls everywhere.'

Q: What is your favorite part about working for Tenna?
A: 'There's always something new. New products, new features, new enhancements. From a marketing standpoint, you never run out of things to talk about.'
