Via Diocese of Metuchen - Exciting! ππΎ | During this time of National Eucharistic Revival, and before we participate in the National Eucharistic Congress, the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Route of the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage will stop in the Diocese of Metuchen on May 27 and 28, 2024.
Learn more about the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage in the Diocese of Metuchen: https://events.moderncatholicpilgrim.com/en/DnDCa1K7/g/seton/seton-route-diocese-of-metuchen-4a2PDnqpSM/overview
The National Eucharistic Pilgrimageβcoming this summerβwill be the most public opportunity for us to witness our Eucharistic faith. YOU are invited to follow Jesus as he sanctifies 6,000+ miles of our country by his Eucharistic Presence on his way to the National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis!
One of the four routes of this cross-country pilgrimage is named after St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, the first American-born saint to be canonized by the Catholic Church. While a Protestant, the young mother was drawn to the Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist during a Eucharistic procession and converted to Catholicism shortly thereafter. St. Elizabeth Ann went on to open the first free Catholic school for girls in America in 1810. Her work laid the foundation for what is now the parochial school system.
The Seton Route begins on May 18 with Pentecost Vigil at the tomb of Blessed Fr. Michael McGivney in New Haven, Connecticut. From there, this route will journey through our nationβs oldest diocese and across the Appalachian Mountains. Pilgrims will visit holy sites, embrace the sacraments daily, and publicly proclaim Christβs Real Presence in the Eucharist as they accompany him on his way to the 10th National Eucharistic Congress.
Make your plans now to meet up with this historic Pilgrimage! Visit https://buff.ly/3I6XFPd to explore our interactive map and the awesome opportunities you have to participate!

Time: 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Location: St. Matthews Cafeteria
Attention Parents and Children! Parents are not required to come but are welcome if they have any questions. We invite you to our Open House event where you can meet our dedicated Youth Group leaders and discover our exciting plans for the upcoming year. It's an excellent opportunity to learn more about our Youth Group and how it can benefit your teenager's spiritual growth. We had originally announced that we would have a 6-8th grade Youth Group however, based on the number of Youth Group leaders, we have decided to begin our Youth Group with high school youth only.
During the event, we will introduce the dynamic leaders who will guide and inspire our Catholic youth. They have crafted an engaging program filled with faith-building activities, educational opportunities, service projects, and fun social events.
It would be great to know if you will make it but not necessary to sign-up. If you wish to let us know you are coming or have questions, send an email to [email protected] or call 908-528-2413 and leave a message.
