Happy 10 Year Anniversary (+1 day) to Nerdly Goodness!!! I can't believe how many wonderful people I've met the last decade and the hundreds of pairs of shoes I've painted. My shop is live again on Etsy, and I have some really fun plans for 2024! 🥳

Okay, I’ve only dabbled lightly in cosplay thus far, but since the cast of Critical Role was coming to Rose City Comic Con, I decided to level up! and I trekked down to Portland and cosplayed as Allura and Lady Kima, got to meet the cast and had a blast! Here are some behind the scenes of me creating my very first foam armor. It’s by no means perfect (and I made a few trips to the cosplay repair room 😅), but it was fun and I can’t wait to make more!

One more Tuesday celebration: today marks 10 years since I made my very first pair of R2-D2 shoes! It’s crazy to see how much I’ve improved in my technique with different stencils and technologies. I’ve since made over 300 pairs of just R2, and so many more patterns as well. Can’t wait to see what do fun things we make in the future!

Today’s Comic Con Bingo has leveled up from yesterdays! Now with cardboard backing (and less 💩🤣)

Had such an amazing impromptu day trip to Vancouver to yesterday! Of course I had to make a shirt for the day 😉 Peter Weller and Brent Spiner were so wonderful and gracious to meet! Jonathan loved my Papa Riker’s Pizza shirt and TNG shoes as well! ☺️ definitely will be coming back!

Just reiterating (again, and not for the last time) how much I love my modular open storage! I punched a hole in the back of the cabinet for an electrical cord and attached it to the inside so I can plug anything in. In this case, it was my Easy Press! My table wheeled over for the perfect amount of space for my project 👌

Throwback Thursday to my very first pair of R2 shoes almost 10(!!!) years ago!

I had made these shoes just for myself to wear around town, but then everyone wanted a pair, and six months later Nerdly Goodness was born. It’s been a fun ride, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds!
