Hi All,

with a sad and heavy heart I write to you to tell you that after being a part of the community for 80+ years Buhrmester's will be closing at the end of this month 2/28/22 for good. Our hours during this time will be:
7-2 mon. thru fri
saturday and sunday CLOSED

we do deeply apologize we hate to leave you our loyal customers/friends but health and other reasons have left us with no choice and unfortunately there is no one to continue on a store here at this time under the current locations/circumstances. Hopefully Benjamin Moore will be offered in the community in some way at some time! But, until then there are several wonderful Benjamin Moore dealers like our friends at Reinke Paint in St. Louis as well as Flannigan Paint stores in st. louis and many other locations semi-close by... there is a store finder on www.benjaminmoore.com .


For me (Lori) this will be my last week as I am starting a new position with a different company and will be leaving the paint industry for new endeavors... It is very hard to think about not seeing all my favorite customers, talking with them (about more then paint!), watching their children grow up and helping you with that difficult project and making your home beautiful... this job and the people I have helped and encountered mean more to me then you will ever know and I will treasure those 18+ years for ever! I have literally worked here half my life and I leave for next adventure with so many treasures and memories!

Lisa, Ken, and Ray (limited) will continue on for the remainder of the month of February and please fell free to call or come by if you need something before our final day...

It's been a pleasure serving you all these years! We all will miss it very very much! Thank you for your loyalty and continued support so we have been able to be here all these years!

Deep... Dark... Dreamy walls...

What do you think? Are you into this dark wall look? I am! It has always been a favorite of mine! Sometimes people are afraid of dark walls because they fear it will make things seem smaller... but dark can recede actually and give the illusion of more space!

The example I love: take the night sky for example, when you look into the darkness of it it seems to go on forever not like it is falling in on you...

Dark walls make an excellent back-drop for items too! Art and accessories really stand out and you can lighten up the look by adding light elements to the room (just like in this image!) and they will really POP and come to life on a darker background in a way they wouldn't on a lighter surface! Just imagine this room image with light walls or medium toned walls it wouldn't have half the impact the neutral items would just blend, get lost, or fade away!

OK... confession: WINTER is my least favorite of the seasons! 😬🥶😒

I don't like the cold, snow or ice! AT ALL... there's a few good things about the season but I am not a big fan!

BUT, 2nd confession: making this pinterest album actually put my in the mood for winter! Seriously!

All the pretty winter scenes (without enduring the cold LOL), yummy warm recipes for everything from drinks to soup, amazing ideas for decorating in and out and some diy project ideas really got me feeling ready to kick the "winter blues" and enjoy/ partake in some of these ideas myself! 💗🥰❄️☃️🤍
