Cross Auto Body & Towing
24/7 towing and full service auto repair facility. Over 40 years in business and still going strong. Since then, we have grown even more!
Gary and Terry Cross started our auto body collision repair business in a garage at their parents house. Later, their brother Craig Cross joined the business and he brought the idea of adding towing to the services that we offer. Due to the quality of our work, and word of mouth, the business soon outgrew the garage and we moved just down the road from our original location to a bigger shop. We no
Please do not fall for these scams. Never give out personal information or send money to people or businesses who call, without checking the legitimacy first!
We have been made aware that some residents have received a call from someone claiming to be a member of our department. The person was an imposter and the end goal was to scam the resident. You are always welcome to contact us at 618-656-2131 to confirm the identity of a person claiming to be an employee of the Edwardsville Police Department.
Please take steps to educate yourself and family members of these dangers to protect from loss:
• No real business or government agency will insist you pay with a gift card or wire transfer.
• Call the company back at a trusted number – preferably one you find on your bill or on other official correspondence or a company site.
• If the person calling claims to be in trouble, verify that with other family members or a trusted friend.
• Scammers often will say it’s a dire situation and you must act immediately. Don’t fall prey to pressure. Verify the situation independently.
If you are concerned that you are the victim of fraud, please contact us at 618-656-2131.

A big thank you is in order to the Edwardsville Police Department, Edwardsville Fire Dept., and Edwardsville School District #7. We were invited to participate in this amazing event that was held for our community’s neurodiverse children. We got to show off our Autism Awareness Tow Truck for a great cause. It was an absolute blast and we are very thankful to be a part of this community!
Today, we had the pleasure of being invited to a Neurodiversity event for our kids and young adults with special needs. Everything from giveaways and items for the special needs community, to snacks and ice cream. The event lasts until 2pm, behind the Edwardsville Public Safety Building.

🔴 8:55 pm update: Interstate 70 is OPEN 🔴
We are currently working alongside City of Highland Power to repair power lines down across Interstate 70 at State Route 160. 70 will be shut down in BOTH directions while repairs are underway.
In one week, the RP Lumber Center will host a wheelchair-accessible skate session. The session will run from noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 21. No cost to anyone using a wheelchair (or strollers, for parents who want to bring their little ones for a whirl). The center was built with accessibility for all in mind, but staff wanted to provide a dedicated opportunity for those who use a wheelchair. It's a nice complement to the Shine on Ice program, which debuted one year ago and offers young people with disabilities an opportunity to learn skating skills and enjoy the rink. TRAFFIC ALERT: Please be prepared for lane restrictions and delays scheduled to start Monday, April 15, in the 600 block of St. Louis Street, which is just to the east of the intersection with West Street. Sewer line repairs on behalf of a residential property in the area will necessitate the closure of all but one lane. A flagger will be on site directing traffic. Please be alert and take it slow while this work takes place or consider an alternate route. Thank you!
And since it will be harder to get across 270 this weekend, how bout a little PSB construction too!
Heads up for this weekend on 270
If you encounter a darkened traffic signal at an intersection, please treat it as a four-way stop. Use extra caution as you are driving, please. Ameren is aware of the situation and is working to restore power to all affected locations.
We would like to extend a Thank You to all those that were able to make it by yesterday morning and pay your respects to Terry Cross. We know it was appreciated by his family.
Also want to send an extra Thank You to Brown's Automotive & Towing, O'Fallon Shiloh Towing, Trickey's service, Adr Troy, Purpose Wrecker Sales, The Auto Body Shop Inc. for being able to bring tow trucks for the end of the funeral procession and Edwardsville Police Department and SIUE Police Department for the help with the traffic control.
Thanks again to everyone for all the thoughts, prayers, and phone calls during this unfortunate time.
ROAD CLOSURE ALERT: Work to fix a water main leak on Main Street will require the closure of a short stretch of Hillsboro Avenue beginning at 3 a.m. Thursday, March 7. The Hillsboro closure will run from Main Street to the entrance of the MCT and City Hall parking lot. Local traffic only will be able to access the affected area at Kansas Street, east of the closure. We apologize for the inconvenience and will get the road reopened as soon as possible. Thank you.
We are again teaming up with our friends at the Edwardsville Fire Department for a Battle of the Badges Blood Drive on Monday, April 8th from 1230 to 530pm. Please see the flyer for more information.
It is with an extremely heavy heart that we announce the passing of Terry Cross.
Terry Cross was one of the original founders of the company with his two brothers, Gary and Craig. Terry was the best boss, mentor, friend, father, grandfather, and husband to his beloved wife, Cindy.
Terry would go above and beyond for anyone, in both his professional and personal life. He was a truly genuine and caring person who never knew a stranger and always made a point to greet everyone he came in contact with.
We would love for everyone who got the pleasure to meet and know Terry, to come celebrate his life with us on Wednesday, March 6th from 10am to Noon, followed by the procession at 1pm.
We appreciate the thoughts and prayers from this amazing community we are so lucky to be involved in.

Did you know that having PPF installed on your car or truck can increase its resale value? PPF is a way for car buyers to know that their investment is guaranteed to look better longer, making it a far more attractive purchase. Cars with PPF also sell faster than those without.
If your vehicle doesn’t have the right hitch that you need, consider finding a shop that can customize and fabricate one for your exact needs. Having a custom fitting hitch made and installed insures that you’ll be able to get the job done right!
Nice day to help our local First Responders.
Protect custom wheel rims and restore standard rims with a good wheel paint. A quality product will fight brake chemicals and dust, is heat resistant to prevent cracking and peeling, and will deliver a factory-new appearance.
Did you know that more than 50% of the products in the United States require some sort of welding? Some examples are: computers, oilrigs, far equipment, cell phones, bridges and racecars.
While our process does not harm windows or windshields, we recommend removing them in order to inspect for rust or other corrosion damage. If found, our blasting process will help remove it prior to repainting.
Auto paint finish can appear cloudy if cleaned with the wrong cloth. Microfiber is ideal because it does not leave stray fibers behind, which can give the paint a dirty appearance.
Finding a body part while your car is still new isn’t too hard, but once it gets a few years old, a lot of OEM suppliers just won’t carry parts. Body supply experts, on the other hand, have the experience needed to track down parts others don’t carry.
