As I sit here & reminse my esthetics path, I decided to share something. Today Jan 24th, marks a special day in my memory of dates in my collective of special events & memories in my life. 17 years ago exact to this date I began my career & journey in the skin industry. My 1st reaction is OH MY GOSH IM GETTING OLD! No, that is my second, my first is how did 17 years pass so quickly? It feels like just yesterday I was sitting in theory class w/such excitement & eagerness to learn w/ my esthetics books & sitting there having the teacher scar our minds to be afraid of STATE BOARD & how militant and hard it would be to pass their examinations. Arriving to this skincare path was easy for me as I knew what I wanted to do at a young age. My ideas of what I wanted out of it shifted a few times but I believe these years passed so quickly for me bc I not only stuck w/ it but this truly is my passion & I know in my heart & my soul that this is where I am suppose to be career and life wise. I get to help people look & feel there best. I get to be there for them on their terrible days, their best days, & all the days in between. Being able to unveil & expose someone’s true skincare goals & beauty brings literal tears to my eyes. To see the confidence grow in someone from something that once made them so self conscious & sad is something in me that I cannot put in to words how it makes me feel. Thank you all who have believed & supported me. I will continue to provide & offer the best of the best for all of you as I have done so all along. From starting out renting a room in a little spa to opening my own little The Skin Boutique, adding different services & med spa services , moving the Spa bigger location, to my OWN SKINCARE LINE, I will continue to provide & give my best. A lot of good old fashion hard work, growth, blood, sweat & tears has gone into my 17 years of building and learning my business & I look forward to 17 more years I can give to this amazing work I get to do every day.

So you're going to workout today . . how do you utilize your skincare products to get the best results without wasting a ton of really good product. Working out is also a super great way to have clear, glowing and healthy skin. There is some no no's though when it comes to working out & skincare. I answer this question a zillion times and after having a really in depth conversation with about the subject, I felt it was a really good topic to post and share my input.

If you are planning on workout out in the morning there is no need to do your whole AM skincare routine before you workout. Wash your face with water & gentle cleanser and get off any skincare products from your PM routine such as retinols and acids that can cause irritation during your workout. Then just use a mild moisturizer or if you are doing your workout outdoors or out of the house an SPF moisturizer of course. After your workout is a great time to then cleanse and treat your skin with your regular AM routine so you don't have to do it twice and waste products.

If you workout in the evening its best to wash off your makeup before getting sweaty and doing your workout. Your pores are sweating & opening and a terrible time to have makeup on. After your PM workout cleanse and treat your skin as if you would regularly.

AM & PM product application after cleanse tip: Don't apply serums and moisturizers to your skin if you are sweating. wait a few extra minutes until you have fully cooled off so your skin can really keep and absorb the ingredients properly.

IF YOU INSIST ON MAKEUP DURING YOUR WORKOUT (WHICH I HIGHLY SUGGEST NOT TO BUT IF THAT'S YOUR THING) I SUGGEST USING OUR TINT PERFECT OR HA TINT PERFECT WHICH IS A TINTED SPF MOISTURIZER AND WILL NOT CLOG YOUR PORES . . .PLUS GIVES YOU A LITTLE COLOR AND ILLUSION OF MAKEUP.

Working out is a terrific way to have clear, healthy skin. By putting these few tips in to play with your workout routine it will help your complexion and help you maximize your products and keep your skin clear and beautiful.
