Join us for our next Procreate class next Tuesday! Whether you are a beginner or an existing Procreate user, this program will give you a basic understanding of the fundamentals of Procreate.

Limited amount of iPads and styluses will be available to use for the class. If you have your own iPad, stylus and Procreate app we encourage you to bring it. Register online at sdcl.org

El Cajon Branch Library is closed on Thursday, July 4, when we usually have our Feeding San Diego Food Pantry open. Instead, we will open the pantry a day earlier on Wednesday, July 3, from 12:30 to 2 p.m.

We will continue opening the pantry on Thursdays, starting July 11, returning to normal operating hours from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more dates and program details, visit sdcl.org/elcajon.

Citizenship classes start June 18! Contact the Jewish Family Service of San Diego citizenship instructor Rudy Flores-Clennell for more information at [email protected] or 619.753.1630.

JFS is excited to partner with San Diego County Library once again to offer free citizenship classes. Our 10-week summer course includes textbooks and supplies, internet access, and tablets also available. We’ll help you prepare for the naturalization interview, find a high-quality, low-cost legal service provider who can provide legal consultation, and file your application for naturalization if eligible.

Classes begin on June 18, 2024, at El Cajon Branch Library, Spring Valley Library, San Marcos Library, and Imperial Beach Library—choose the location that works best for you! Enroll now by contacting Rudy Flores-Clennell, Citizenship Instructor, at [email protected] or by calling (619) 753-1630.

Take a meditative journey at El Cajon Library from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, with Dhammakaya Mediation Center San Diego. The adult program is designed to explore the essentials of the peaceful meditation, focusing on simplicity and accessibility.

Dhammakaya Meditation is a universal technique from Thailand, seamlessly adaptable to any belief, race, or religion. Afterwards, participants are welcome to a discussion to deepen understanding towards a more serene and balanced life.
