This , we're shining a spotlight on Jaycob's story. Jaycob has Angelman syndrome, a genetic disorder. Due to this, he experiences severe speech impairment and is unable to walk on his own. During his time in foster care, his CASA volunteers, Karen and Sue, and the team at and DFPS worked together using our Collaborative Family Engagement program to effectively build Jaycob a strong support network. After 12 years of advocacy, Jaycob now has a permanent home and the therapy and care he needs.

Our Story
CASA of El Paso is a nonprofit organization that trains and supports volunteers from the community who advocate for the abused and neglected children in the foster care system. Our volunteers give the child a voice while they are in the system, advocating for them in legal, educational and medical situations among others, always working towards what is in the best interest of the children. Our volunteers then provide input to the court as final placements are deciding, hopefully assisting in finding the child a safe and permanent home as quickly as possible. CASA of El Paso is committed to providing continuous virtual Advocacy to abused and neglected children during COVID-19. Please consider becoming a voice for these children who need it most.
