On September 1, 2021 Texas’ unprecedented abortion ban, Senate Bill 8, went into effect. This law bans abortion at approximately six weeks. Mindful Monday: Did you know that pores don't open and close?

Pores actually expand when blocked with oils and dirt. When we exfoliate our skin, we clear them of this and they appear smaller.

To do this we can use a physical or chemical exfoliant. Sea Salt is a common physical exfoliator in our Lush products and Honey is a popular chemical exfoliant. Be mindful of what your skin needs.

Today our team here at Lush Cielo Vista has some tips to give you when it comes to exfoliating your skin.
Exfoliating is necessary to clear dead skin cells away before they can combine with your natural oils to block pores and cause breakouts.

Firstly, decide if you want a physical or chemical exfoliator. Some popular physical exfoliants at Lush are ground almonds, ground coffee beans, sea salt, and even aduki beans. An example of a chemical exfoliant would be papaya, pineapple juice, or grapefruit.

Secondly, make sure to start exfoliating with light circular motions. You dont want to hurt your skin.

Thirdly, follow up with your favorite moisturizer and cruelty free spf.
