Don’t tell anyone, but it’s actually a Ryzen 3 3100 I have to update the AM4 platform, but the Ryzen 7 5000 series box was the only one I had for the gram.

After a few hours of using this card, I’m happy to report the Intel drivers are very stable… until you push the card trying to overclock it too much 😂 The Intel software control for the card is also very nice in my personal opinion. Very simple and easy to navigate, easy to OC, and the layover is simple, but gives you all the clock speeds, temps, and performance metrics you’d want to see.

Currently I’m running a AMD Ryzen and Radeon 5800X, 32GB Apacer RAM, no OC on the GPU, and running Intel’s beta drivers 31.0.101.3491. Playing on the Caldera map, I maxed out graphics settings, ray tracing on, 1440p resolution, and I was running a stable 68FPS average. Once I turned ray tracing off, I was seeing an average FPS of 107. With the same specs as far as CPU and RAM, with ray tracing off, we saw 90FPS using a 3060, and 117FPS with a 3060Ti.

Considering this card costs $289.99 ($313 after taxes) and it puts you between a 3060 and 3060Ti, which both cost $50-$150 more by the way, the price to performance value is great on this GPU.

Definitely looking forward to more testing with this card!

Not going to lie, new Arc GPUs seem extremely promising. Hopefully can dial the drivers in to not have the bugs being reported. They will be available October 12th this year.

I personally would choose an RX 6400 or GTX 1650 over the A380 given their similar price points, but based on early benchmarks, the A770 GPU matches and sometimes outperforms the RTX 3070 for $170 less. The Arc A580 does not have a confirmed release date, nor pricing, but based on specifications from Intel, it puts the estimated performance between a RTX 3050 and RTX 3060, which I’m guessing will be at the sub $200 price point based on the A750’s price. The A750 performance is between a RTX 3060 and RTX 3060Ti, and consistently outperforms the RTX 3060. Intel will probably price this aggressively in the mid-$200 range, coming in at $60 cheaper than the 3060 for better performance.

I waited a few days to post this to see if the announcement made was a joke… turns out it wasn’t. I’ll try to make this post short.

promises a 2-4x increase in performance comparing their 4090 to the 3090Ti, but NVIDIA neglects to mention this was in only 3 games using DLSS 3.0 (which the 30 series can’t use), and the 40 series were tested on a system using an Intel 12900K, but the 30 series were benchmarked on a 10900K.

The RTX 4080 12GB’s specs are in line with a 70 series card when improving on each generation of card, which essentially makes the RTX 4070… I mean “4080 12GB”, a $400 price increase over the RTX 3070.

What happens when we take a GPU in on trade?

1. Physically inspected for damage or imperfections.
2. The GPU is fully stress tested using multiple benchmark tools such as and UNIGINE to analyze clock speeds, power consumption, temperature, and fan RPMs.
3. The GPU is fully cleaned, and depending on age, thermal pads and paste are replaced to ensure optimal performance for its new owner!
