Fellow Arrowmen, after consulting with the Lodge Chief and the Supreme Chief of the Fire concerning the coronavirus Covid-19, the following has been decided:

1. Unit OA elections are suspended until unit meetings resume. The Unit OA Election period will be extended to a date to be determined following the resumption of unit meetings.
2. Chapter Advisors/Chiefs should suspend Chapter meetings until unit meetings resume.
3. Lodge/Chapter participation in Pack Crossover events is suspended until unit meetings resume. Once unit meetings resume, participation in crossover events is at the discretion of the Chapter Advisor/Chief.
4. We encourage ceremony team members to practice their ceremony parts on their own. Ceremony teams should not meet until unit meetings resume.
5. The Council Crossover scheduled for April 4, 2020 is cancelled.
6. The Lodge Callout scheduled for April 4, 2020 is cancelled. We will notify candidates by mail/email.
7. Per an email from the Section Chief, the Section Conclave scheduled for April 17-19, 2020 has been postponed, likely for August.
8. The LEC will hold a conference call in the near future, date to be determined, to consider options for the ordeal and other lodge events.
9. We will make a decision about the Spring Ordeal, scheduled for May 1-3, 2020 at the end of March when the council office reopens.
10. Please take care of yourselves and your families.

What is Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills?

Working as patrols, this hands-on course provides adult leaders the practical outdoor skills they need to lead Scouts in the out-of-doors. Upon completion, leaders should feel comfortable teaching Scouts the basic skills required to obtain the First Class rank. Along with Scoutmaster Specifics this course is required of all direct contact leaders registered in Boy Scout Troops in order to be considered “trained”.
