World Class Outpost (WCO) Training Day 1!

25 leaders READY to push their Outposts and groups to the next level 🏆

07/26/2023

The NEW National Rangers Ministry Conference at Camp Morrow in Wamic, Oregon is scheduled to be held on September 22 - 24, 2023!

Yes… you read that correctly. National Rangers Ministry CONFERENCE, not National Rangers Ministry CAMP! You have an opportunity to be part of something historic!

Don’t wait until August 20th to register. Please register now. If the conference does not meet the minimum registration number by August 20th, the conference will more than likely be canceled. Register here https://www.nwrrr.com/training

If you have never been to an NRMC, now is your time to join the adventure. This training does not come around often in the Northwest Region so jump on this opportunity to attend an NRMC close to home.

If you have already attended an NRMC (or even an NTC) in the past, we are asking you to consider attending this event again. Each NRMC that I have been to has had a different impact on my life. The Lord spoke to me in different ways at each of them and I have left every one of them excited, rejuvenated, and empowered. It is not just about the training… more importantly it’s about connecting with God and connecting with others. I was able to gain new brothers and fellowship with old ones as well. Another reason is by you attending, you are blessing another leader that has never been able to attend an NRMC before. It’s very possible that if you do not attend, the conference might not meet the minimum registration number for the conference to be held. Please come join us to help make this conference happen!

This event has been selected to be one of the first beta-tests for the new conference format for NRMC. Here’s what that means:
• Trainees will sleep in cabins instead of camping.
• The setting up of patrol campsites and much of the training specifically devoted to camping skills will not be at this conference. There will be a new opportunity to do this in the future in the form of a new Action Camp that will be created.
• All meals will be served by event cook staff.
• Camping skills training is being replaced by new content that all Royal Rangers leaders need to more effectively minister to and mentor boys in their outpost. Thus, an opportunity to receive even more spiritually empowering training!
• Other aspects of NRMC… including skills activities, spiritual manhood sessions and a powerful spiritual empowerment service that leaders will never forget will remain. Now, more than ever, NRMC will provide an opportunity for men to return home not only better RR leaders but better husbands, fathers and servant leaders in their church!

Do not miss out on not only an opportunity to receive the very best in Royal Rangers training but to be part of an event that could change the course of history in the Royal Rangers Ministry and change your life!

Please reach out to us or your district leadership if you have any questions or need help getting to this amazing conference.

Saw this posted in a Royal Rangers leader group by Ryan D. Mikell and just had to share it!

I know that probably for a lot of those who don’t listen to Christian rap or rock that this may not be interesting but I thought this was pretty cool! “Glory” by the artist “WHATUPRG” referenced Royal Rangers in this song. I knew there are a couple of others who have done this as well I believe. I think that’s awesome!! This was on a playlist I normally listen to when I work out.
And I realize I may be a little late to the party as well lol. But I still think this is cool! Be blessed!!

On Tuesday, our West Texas & Plains district family had an event that once again displayed Gods grace and protection. Our Royal Rangers District Director, RR Outreach Coordinator and WTAP District Missions Director were traveling home and were involved in an auto accident. The damages to the vehicle were significant. All 3 passengers and the other involved driver were all unharmed and sustained only minor injuries. Minutes after the accident, the entire District team was aware and in prayer for those involved. The Royal Ranger Team would like to thank everyone who extended concern and prayer. This event has reminded us how vital prayer and gratitude to our Lord is before and after all travel. Continue to pray for the Royal Ranger Team and all church leaders who frequently travel to grow their respective ministries.

It is with earthly sorrow that we share of the passing of Ralph Williams, namesake of Camp Williams, to his heavenly reward on Thursday, July 21, 2022.

Ralph was a giant in Royal Rangers both in South Texas and around the globe. He led South Texas as the District Commander with passion and skill from 1981-1995 and left a spiritual legacy that will not be forgotten.

The South Texas Royal Rangers campground, purchased in 2015, was renamed Camp Williams, to honor Ralph and his wonderful wife Evelyn "Shug" Williams for their tremendous dedication, leadership, and lifelong support of Royal Rangers.

Ralph left an unmistakable mark on the Royal Rangers ministry, South Texas, and thousands of leaders, boys, and young men that his life impacted over the years. Never one to slow down, Ralph remained committed to serving and ministering to others at multiple events in 2022.

He served on outpost, section, district, region, and national committees during his more than 5 decades of service in Royal Rangers. He has been honored with many of the highest levels of recognition in Royal Rangers including the Frontiersmen Camping Fellowship (FCF) Flame of Honor, the Royal Rangers Alumni (RRA) Lifetime Service Award, and the National Outstanding Service Medal, as well as being named an honorary member of the National Royal Rangers Council.

Ralph is now celebrating with the Master Ranger, his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was undoubtedly greeted by innumerable souls that he pointed to Christ.

Please join us in praying for Ralph's family and all those who loved and were impacted by his life during this time.

2 Timothy 4:7-8: "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing."

Daniel has accepted the position of Deputy District Director where he will oversee and provide support to all the Outposts in the West Texas and Plains District. He has been a huge part of the Outpost growth in the North Texas Region and we are excited to see what God has in store for this District through Daniel.

Sarge has been and will always be a great friend and mentor to our District. To a great leader and all around Ranger, we’ll see you soon.

It is with earthly sorrow that we share of the passing of Marvin “Sarge” Summers on Tuesday, February 8, 2022.

Sarge left an indelible mark on the Royal Rangers ministry, the South Texas district, and thousands of boys and young men that his life impacted over the years.

Sarge served on outpost, section, district, region, national and international staffs and committees during his service in Royal Rangers. He was instrumental in the procurement of Camp Williams, created and led the “Sarge Summers Charity Golf Classic” benefitting STXRR, served as a powerful speaker at camps across the nation, and is best known for being an inspiration and friend to many.

He served his God, family, country, and friends with all that he had and Sarge has received his eternal reward. He is now celebrating with the Master Ranger, his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Please join us in praying for the entire Summers family.

And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. About Us

The Royal Rangers program is an activity-based, small group church ministry for boys and young men in grades K-12. Our mission is to evangelize, equip and empower the next generation of Christlike men and lifelong servant leaders. We provide Christlike character formation and servant leadership development for boys and young men in a highly relational and fun environment.

The Royal Rangers program is a cross-generational ministry that interconnects well with children, youth and adult ministries and fits easily into the fabric of pastoral vision and into the flow of church ministries. We affirm the male hands-on, interactive learning style by featuring an intentional discipleship journey for boys and young men based on their unique design, needs and interests. Every meeting, outing or service activity is designed to encourage boys and young men in their walk with God.

We provide men with the tools to model Christlike manhood as they mentor boys on a Bible-based, Christ-centered, Spirit-empowered journey to maturity in the faith. Boys learn to study and apply what the Bible says about integrity, doctrine, biblical worldview, cultural issues and manhood. In addition, the Royal Rangers ministry molds boys into servant leaders, teaching them vital social, equipping, attitude, leadership and service skills.
