Pontiac sold over 839,000 third-generation Firebirds of all stripes from the 1982 through 1992 model years. The purist’s choice was the Firebird Formula, which offered the performance of a Trans-Am with the cleanly styled body of the standard Firebird. The 1992 Firebird Formula was produced in very low numbers, with just 1,052 built in the final model year of third-gen production.

This lightly restored 1992 Firebird Formula 5.7 was optioned with the highly desirable WS6 suspension package when new. The seller states that he has owned this vehicle for 25 years and is the second owner. As a professional automotive technician, he has meticulously maintained this car since he purchased it. The vehicle has been restored in increments since 2014, including the use of a GM Performance ZZ4 350-cu.in. V-8 short block. This Firebird has been a Southern California car since new, covering 238,600 miles on the sunny freeways surrounding San Diego.
