Today is National Doctors’ Day!
Doctors' Day is set aside to say thank you to our physicians for all the care they provide our community. Our appreciation goes out to each and every physician, this day and every day.
History of National Doctors' Day
Doctors’ Day is held every year on March 30th in the United States. It is a day to celebrate the contribution of physicians. The first Doctors’ Day observance was March 30, 1933 in Winder, Georgia. Eudora Brown Almond, wife of Dr. Charles B. Almond, decided to set aside a day to honor physicians. On March 30, 1958, a resolution commemorating Doctors' Day was adopted by the United States House of Representatives. In 1990, legislation was introduced in the House and Senate to establish a national Doctors’ Day. Following overwhelming approval by the United States Senate and the House of Representatives, on October 30, 1990, President George Bush signed S.J. RES. #366 (which became Public Law 101-473) designating March 30th as "National Doctors’ Day."
Nurses are the cornerstone of our mission: Above all else, we are committed to the care and improvement of human life. This Certified Nurses Day, we celebrate our nursing colleagues for their commitment to going above and beyond to further their education and improve more lives.
Thank you to all our nurses who have demonstrated advanced skill, knowledge and practice by earning professional certification in complex nursing care specialties. Your dedication to lifelong learning is celebrated today and every day.

More than one in three women is living with some form of cardiovascular disease. Education is key. The more a woman knows about heart disease, the better chance she has of beating it. American Heart Association has extensive tools and education at https://www.goredforwomen.org/en/about-heart-disease-in-women.
Learn About Heart Disease in Women The facts about women and heart disease are very serious: Heart disease causes 1 in 3 deaths among women each year – more than all cancers combined.
