Our Story
Nativo was founded in 2010 by current CEO Justin Choi. Originally under the name PostRelease, Nativo’s foundational technology automated sponsored posts in automotive forums.
As the technology grew more complex, the early team members envisioned the company as a next generation advertising solution. Being able to deploy, automate, optimize and measure what was once considered only flat fee, bespoke executions in digital media was a revolutionary shift for advertisers and publishers. By 2012, advertisers began to understand that traditional marketing tactics were ineffective and in need of change. The shift from interruption to engagement had begun; native advertising was gaining popularity.
While many advertisers and publishers were concerned with click metrics or immediate conversion, Nativo examined the dynamics of user engagement in-feed.
