We are super excited to attend this continuing education (CE) event with our team! Many of you may remember our former hygienist, Denise. She has launched a non-profit organization called "Foundation 9:22" and has collaborated with some fantastic groups to provide coaching on mental health issues for our patients. This initiative focuses on treating the entire body and mind to enhance overall quality of life.
Dr. Rice and his Christ Community Church's Men's Group packed 1,250 backpacks of food for students. The hope is providing goods in a back pack will be less conspicuous to other classmates for those in need. Serving and paying it forward together!
⛰️🙏 Mission Trip Fundraiser! 🙏⛰️ I'm excited to share that I'll be heading out on a week long mission trip with the Christian Appalachian Project next Sunday. They do incredible work, providing vital services to individuals and families in the Appalachian region. Their dedication to serving others is truly inspiring, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of their mission. I'd be so grateful for your support. Even a small donation can make a big difference. You can contribute here: bit.ly/CAPGroupsPayment 🤝
Thank you for joining me in this journey to bring hope and help to those in need. Your support means everything!
I'm cycling toward a world free of MS.
I’ve signed up for Bike MS – a fundraising ride that changes the world for people affected by multiple sclerosis. I’m going the distance with my training and commitment, and I hope I can count on your support as I prepare for this incredible experience.
I’ve set an ambitious goal because I know that with support from people like you, I can get there.
MS is a devastating, unpredictable disease. But money raised through Bike MS fuels cutting-edge MS research and critical services to ensure people affected by MS have the resources they need to live their best lives.
Please help me reach my goal.
I'm supporting National MS Society! The National MS Society's vision is a world free of MS. The Society mobilizes people and resources so that everyone affected by MS can live their best lives as we stop MS in its tracks, restore what has been lost and end MS forever.

My youngest son & wife gave birth to twins that were premature and were in the NICU last week.
I am asking if anyone has access to an apnea monitor. They need this in order to take their kids home.
This is what they need.

This past weekend, Dr. Rice participated in Christ Community Church's second annual Ride for Hope. The ride raised over $75,000 for Naomi's House and their new local day program: Reset in Elgin. Reset in Elgin is a drop-in SAFE place for women to rest and get resources that have been involved in commercial s*x trafficking. Raising awareness, funds and support for the abused and vulnerable in our communities is all of our responsibility. Thank you Dr. Rice for your support.

Heading back on my bike 🚲 this weekend for another 100 miles and raising money for a great cause. This Saturday, I'm riding (for my second year) in Bike MS: Tour de Farms. Every dollar counts, so I'd love for you to consider donating: https://mssociety.donordrive.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=donate.participant&participantID=77996
Dr. Rice, Annette and Teresa hit the west coast this past weekend for a two-day hands-on training for implant supported dentures. We are blessed to have amazing resources and talent to network with. Interested in how a new smile can change your life? Give us a call! See what your options are, we do it all!
Here are a few highlights from their trip...
Good news: I have another 100-mile bike ride under my belt–thanks to the Ride for Hope fundraiser! The ride was a great success and I feel grateful to have participated alongside Christ Community Church.
Better news: We were able to raise over $4,000, and thanks to an anonymous donor who doubled the church’s funds–we actually raised over $8,000 for Naomi’s House!
Thank you for being an important part of my team! I couldn’t have done it without your support.
I can’t believe it’s almost June! Next weekend, I have the opportunity to participate in a fundraiser, Ride for Hope. I'll be joining Christ Community Church in the first-ever 100-mile bike ride to support Naomi’s House on Saturday, June 4th. If you know me, you probably know I am an avid bike rider; and I am thrilled to be able to cycle in support of such a good cause. Naomi’s House is an amazing resource, dedicated to helping victims in the Fox Valley Region, and their hope is to expand their current day program offerings into a residential program.
I am proud to be able to ride my bike alongside Christ Community Church in this important fundraiser. I hope to personally raise $5,000 by the end of this month. An anonymous donor has also offered to match the church’s funds received during the month of May. That means if I raise $5,000 - Naomi’s House will receive $10,000! What an amazing gift!
Here are three ways you can partner with me:
1. Go to make a donation. https://go.rallyup.com/cccrideforhope/m/709dcd/Member/Details
2. Pray for the victims of human trafficking.
3. Pray for me as I ride–I’m not as young as I once was!
Thank you for your ongoing support,
Dave
Help us in celebrating Shannon's 23rd Anniversary with Dr. Rice!!! She started her career with him when she was just in high school and has mastered every area of this office! She has trained us all well and has also announced that she will be hanging up her scrub hat at the end of July. There are NO WORDS for how much we will all miss her, but we are also VERY excited for her next chapter to begin. To Shannon! 🥂🏆🎉💜
April is Oral Cancer Awareness Month. In addition to your annual VelScope cancer screening at your hygiene appointments, we recommend self-screening. Here is a fantastic video as a resource for you.
We would like to congratulate Dr. David Rice on achieving Life Membership status from the Illinois State Dental Society! The Fox River Valley Dental Society also recognized Dr. Rice in their Winter Newsletter, Inci-Dentals. We are so proud of Dr. David Rice and his 30+ years of support and commitment to organized dentistry.
Dr. David Rice recently attended a valuable 3-day hands-on training course in Las Vegas, “Become a Master of Full Arch Cases,” presented by Dr. Bernardo Nunes de Sousa. The course focused on learning and implementing advanced techniques for performing immediate loading implants including: transnasal, trans-sinus, pterygoid, subperiosteal, and palatal approach. In other words, Dr. Rice is fully trained and ready to handle your next big dental dilemma.

Turns out, smiling is the key to a longer life. Of course, it’s not the only key, but did you know that smiling can increase life expectancy? It’s true; people who smile more often tend to live longer and lead happier lives (I’ll smile to that!). Here’s 10 more interesting facts that you might not know about smiling!
1. Babies are born with the ability to smile.
2. It takes less muscles to smile than it does to frown.
3. There are 19 different types of smiles and six are used to demonstrate happiness.
4. Smiling can change your mood and reduce blood pressure.
5. Smiling boosts your immune system and reduces stress.
6. Smiling helps build stronger relationships with others.
7. Smiling makes you appear younger and more attractive.
8. People who smile are more successful in work and are often perceived as confident.
9. Smiling is the easiest form of exercise and helps burn calories, especially when laughing.
10. Smiling is more contagious than the flu (now that’s something worth spreading)!
Never underestimate the benefits of smiling and flash those pearly whites when you can!
