Good morning Newland, Elizabeth City, Camden, & Gates family! I wanted to get up here & take a moment to let you know with tears in my eyes an enormous amount of love in my heart for all of our customers that have supported us & kept us going the last few years that I have made the very hard decision to close the doors of Newland Pub & Grill and move forward in a path life is pushing me toward. The decision didn’t come lightly & has been very difficult to make. While I’m excited about what the future has in store for me my heart is just as heavy having to decide on what was best going forward. We are all very sad to say goodbye here at the Pub, you all will forever be our family & friends! Our tentative last full day will be Friday 11/17/23 and we hope you will continue to support us, come see us, & just spend some time with us until then and that night around 7pm join us for one last night of great company, good music, cold drinks & what’s left of delicious food! We love you all so very much and hope you all can understand. We will not be ordering any more product so we will be downsizing the menu as we go. I will be selling the business not the building we rent that it can stay as is and rent the building from the owner. I own everything in the building & it’s turn key, has a wonderful local following and is waiting for its next adventure. It can set where it is or where you would like to take it. We are delivering local tonight Newland/Morgans Corner, South Mills, & just past the Swamp toward Gates we can meet at the corner of Folley Road. We do not have a full time driver so I will post when one is available. Please remember that drivers work for tips.

Good morning all! I’m making a post to put it out there but we are considering changing Friday’s hours and being open for lunch & dinner only, same opening hours as Tuesday-Thursday. We are averaging one or two customers on Friday Mornings at most and with an already struggling economy it’s hurting us more than it’s helping us. I know people want us open but we cannot continue to be open during hours we’re not having the business to do so . We have been considering this for awhile now but we were hoping things would pick up. We know we’re out here and that hurts us but we can only be open if we have the business to do so. If and when we do this I will make a post letting everyone know when it will start. Thank you all for your continued support and we appreciate & love all our customers!
