Tune in to episode 3 as Brandi and Myia discuss the topic of mental health issues commonly being denied in the black community as well as other BIPOC communities. Listen as we discuss ways to start a new generational cycle.
Codependency can affect individuals of any gender or race, including Black women. However, it is important to recognize that codependency can manifest differently in different cultural contexts and may be influenced by unique experiences and societal factors. Myia Kramer & Brandi Garner explain that for Black women, there may be additional layers of complexity related to cultural expectations, historical trauma, and systemic oppression. These factors can contribute to the development of codependent behaviors and patterns.

In this episode Myia and Brandi explain that self-love is the practice of valuing, accepting, and caring for oneself. It involves developing a positive relationship with oneself, treating oneself with kindness, and prioritizing one's own well-being. Self-love includes accepting and embracing both one's strengths and weaknesses, setting healthy boundaries, practicing self-care, and nurturing a positive self-image. It is about recognizing one's worth and taking actions that promote personal growth, happiness, and fulfillment. Self-love is an important aspect of overall well-being and is essential for building healthy relationships and achieving a sense of inner peace.
