With the Olympics going on I was reminded that I once won a Sliver medal last year when many wonderful clients voted for me as one of the Sacramento areas favorite attorneys which earned me a Silver medal for 2023 in the Sacramento Bee newspaper contest!

Yes, August is make a Will month, but is a Will the right thing for you?. A Last Will and Testament is a good way to express your final wishes. However, Wills must be filed and handled in probate court. Probate court can be a long and expensive process. For example, if you own real estate in California a Will may not be sufficient for you to avoid probate. A better alternative may establishing a revocable family living trust. Why would bankruptcy filings be at a record low when we've been hit with the pandemic and so many people have been out or work, unable to pay car payments, mortgage, and rent?
