So thankful to have Mrs. Medlin come tell the Easter story with her giant resurrection egg. Even though she is retired, Mrs. Medlin is faithful to come and teach us this story each year. Thank you Mrs. Medlin!

Sometimes, simple is better when it comes to spending quality time with your kids. Sure, some of the grand gestures are nice, but you don't NEED those to make moments that last with your kids. They just want you—they want your time, they want your eyes, they want your interest, they want your attention. Reject the idea that everything has to be perfect. Your kid just wants you.

We are so excited for Mini Moo Night tomorrow (Tuesday, September 20th)!! We’ll have our favorite cow hanging out with us in the dining room from 5-7pm. And Chicken Mini’s will be available to order from 5-9pm. Mini’s for dinner with cow is a night you won’t want to miss!

Some inspiration as you’re packing lunches this week. 😄

Fruit has a lot of nutrients. Yes, veggies have more, but the fruit your child eats has more nutrients than the veggies your child doesn't eat.⁠

Does fruit sugar matter? Yes and no. ⁠
⁠
When we talk about "added sugar", we aren't talking about the sugar naturally found in fruit. We're talking about sweeteners that are added to foods (sugar, honey, maple syrup, etc.)⁠

Fruit has vitamins, minerals, fiber, and also naturally occurring sugars. It is okay to let kids eat fruit. ⁠

Fruit juice is very similar to an added sugar because all the fiber is removed (although it can still include some vitamins and minerals). I recommend limiting juice as much as you can.⁠
⁠
Fruit is sweet, so if kids only eat fruit for a meal or snack, it can still affect your child's blood sugar. Serving fruit with foods that have protein and fat in them helps avoid the blood sugar ups and downs.⁠

If your child isn't eating vegetables, by all means, please serve them fruit. Also, keep serving veggies to help them eat veggies. ⁠
