What a great way to celebrate EARTH 🌎 DAY then to start a 20 week training plan preparing my body for an ultra endurance event come September.

Some of you know how I’ve been challenging not only my body but my mindset for the past 2 years with this event called . It’s an event like non other! 36 hours against you & the 🏔️ to hike the equivalent elevation of MOUNT EVEREST! 29029 ft!

I too have had bad salon experiences, you may think I don’t get anxiety getting my hair done TODAY but the truth is…I still do.

Remembering way back when getting home from my hair appointment to find my hair two different lengths on each side. I remember it like yesterday. I’m pretty sure my mom had to fix it because I was too scared to go back.

Why am I telling you this?

• use dry shampoo instead of shampooing too often

• turn down your heat tools or lessen heat on your hair all together

• wait at least 48 hours before shampooing after color service

• use heat protection styling aid on your hair

• use color safe/ professional products only

• use warm water while shampooing

Dry & unwanted warm tones?

No problem,

here’s some hair care tips to help your hair stay nourished & balanced.

- come in for a fresh GLOSS (toner) treatment,
• this helps prevent color from over fading & helps deal the hair cuticle to prevent damage.

- use a LEAVE IN CONDITIONER
• protect your hair from heat, help tame frizz & to help lock in moisture.

- use a HAIR OIL each night before bed
• provides the hair extra moisture during these winter months.

Dos:
- washing hair at least twice a week
- scalp care
- frequent trims
- close to natural hair color
- heatless hairstyles
- applying hair oil before bed
- pre-booking next 2 hair appointments
- scheduling a gloss in between color appointments
- use a silk pillowcase

Don’t:
- sleeping with wet hair
- coming to your hair appointment with dirty hair
- wearing hair tightly held back frequently
- using products/ at home temporary color before checking in with your stylist
- using too many products on your hair
