This past year I was given the incredible opportunity to be the lead team MD for the 🏐 part of the PVF league 🔥

The most common question….. WHY?! Aren’t you a gynecologist?! I found data that 13 (7.1%) head team physicians were women amongst professional sports. Similarly, in a recent study of all NBA, MLB, NFL, and WNBA team physicians, O’Reilly et al found that 6.7% of all professional sports team physicians were women. Fun fact there is ONE team with a female physician… the in Carolina. Although every team in the NFL has a staff of five or more physicians, there are only four total female physicians in the league 😱
