What a start to 2024! The guys here have been at it non-stop trying to keep up with snow and water losses (mostly from frozen pipes bursting). We are now equipped with a truck-mount extractor and carpet cleaner, and are all prepped for carpet cleans and emergency water extractions. When the snow starts to melt and we go back to normal, you will want to freshen those carpets up a bit, and we will be able to start filling the schedule again!

This was a very satisfying job! Look through the pictures and see for yourself! This house had a small fire in the chimney box, and it caused damage to the framing behind the fireplace/hearth and several spots above. Since the homeowner was replacing the fireplace with a gas option, there was no need for the chimney box anymore, and no need to rebuild it either. Our expertise came in clutch and we were able to successfully remove the chimney, fill in the soffit where it used to be, and add a small faux chimney with a cantalouvre for the gas fireplace.

During the rebuild, our team applied industry standards and years of knowledge to properly clean smoke damage, as well as seal the framing so you can’t smell any damage after the deodorization process. Some framing repairs were necessary, but didn’t set us back a bit. We sealed it all back up at the end with fresh siding, and left the rest to the painters!

We are very proud of ourselves about this job well done. We know the homeowners are satisfied with the final outcome too. Thankfully our hard work paid off once again, and this family is well on their way to restore a sense of ‘normal’ in their home.

These homeowners had moved into a brand new home, and roughly a month later, the above garage door shelves that the builders had installed fell out of the ceiling! This made a mess and a headache for the family for sure! Thankfully Kirby’s was able to get in there and clean the mess up. After that we climbed into the attic to brace new shelves up. The final product turned out perfect, and the shelves aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.

This was a quick little fix we did a couple weeks back! The old chimney on this roof wasn’t braced properly, and as a result had started leaking water into the attic of the home. Thankfully we were able to get rid of the old, brace up the framing, and reinstall a new chimney. This chimney will stay dry and sturdy for a very long time!!!
