The Judy Newman Building Beauty Awards If someone were to drive down a street full of Milwaukee Habitat homes, they would likely see many of them adorned with flowers, plants, and other decorations. If they walk to the backyard, they might just see a garden full of vegetables and an outdoor seating area.

Our Branch was well represented at the West Allis 4th of July parade last night.
August 13th is an important Election Day for Wisconsin. Besides being a primary Election Day, there are two referendums on the ballet that cause concern. AAUW Wisconsin and the League of Women Voters, along with several other organizations have sent out information to clarify the confusing language for these items and made a strong recommendation to vote “no” on both.

Dual members of AAUW Milwaukee and AAUW West Suburban Milwaukee attended AAUW Milwaukee’s annual celebration on the Edelweiss on the Milwaukee River.
Our four book groups are busy celebrating the end of this year and picking out their books for next year. Here we have our 4th Wednesday morning group enjoying lunch out while making their choices.
Golfing is still going strong with our members - some days sunny and warm, others with dodging the rain drops!
Our "Working Women" Special Interest Group was at it again! This time, the group enjoyed dinner and conversation at La Fuente Mexican Restaurant and shared strategies for navigating difficult conversations in the workplace. A great time was had by all ... especially Vanita, who won a special book giveaway! ✨️ ❤️ 📖

Beautiful day for West Suburban Milwaukee ladies to play golf. Although there were no hole in one’s, we looked great on the links!
AAUW West Suburban-Milwaukee golf is in full swing. Beautiful day for it.
Once we finished our tour of robotics and nursing at MSOE. Our group enjoyed a wonderful lunch with a chance to speak with students. Jill Meyer provided a great presentation about MSOE and the efforts they make to ensure all of their students succeed. To wrap up the day, a docent led the group on a lovely tour of Grohmann museum.
GIGANTIC Used Book Sale: Starts Wednesday - that's just the day after tomorrow! Doors open at 10:00 am, and you can shop til 6:00 pm. Proceeds from the sale are used for higher education for women.
