Most friends of our office already know that our dear friend, and previous owner of our practice, Micheal Lauck passed away a few months ago. I went to his “Celebration of Life” ceremony in October. I learned that one of his patients received care for $5. Apparently he fell in hard times and wasn’t able to pay for his care. He had been doing this for years. This got the attention of the US Senator from Illinois at the time. This was officially entered into the congressional record that day. His family is very proud. Those of us in this business know how hard it can be to make a living sometimes. Nonetheless, please try to follow his example, be a “quiet hero” and give back when you can. Merry Christmas to all!
