We would like to wish you all a Happy Mother's Day! The Arc New York was founded on the fierce love and advocacy of one amazing mother, Ann Greenberg. In 1948 Ann Greenberg wanted more for her son Jerry and placed an ad in the news paper hoping to connect with other parents that wanted to start a day nursery for their disabled children. From those beginnings Ann's small group has grown into the largest nonprofit in New York State serving people with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
