So just a quick check in. Yes I'm still dealing with health issues, yes I'm doing everything I can to try and get back to normal. Yes we are still on hiatus. No we cannot fulfill orders online so please do not order off the website or message here. We are paused and not open till further notice. If there are any big announcements they will be made here. Still on hiatus due to medical reasons, but sharing this because of the onslaught of requests to fellow crafters for these things, or copyrighted items during the holiday season. Just a reminder that we have to buy a license to do anything with existing media, and NO ONE has 75,000 dollars a pop sitting around to do those (and if they do you can bet they get licensing.) We aren't saying no to be mean, or say we cannot do it, but to protect our businesses. Here, we do not risk it for any amount of biscuit.

So often when people are learning to crochet they expect perfection right off the bat. Crocheting is an art and a skill. You wouldn't expect someone just gifted pencils and paper to draw realism perfectly...so don't expect to not make mistakes with crochet. Through repetition and mistakes we learn and when you make a mistake you come back better than before. Don't discredit the learning process and yourself. Even the most brilliant painters and artists started somewhere!

New Tiktok drop. Trying to get my views, and followers back up, so I can possibly do crocheting lives to teach crochet in the future. Still a long road to recovery before I'm back to where I was, but doctor said to try crocheting again, so will be doing little odds, and ends projects here. Please share if you would be so kind! So monthly update. My injuries are still here, waiting to be scheduled for the further testing needed. Because of everything going on, this company is going to press pause. I am only one person, and with these injuries taking way longer than I hoped to recover from I need to limit exacerbating them. I luckily haven't had anyone order anything since the injuries happened, but cannot realistically package an order, dye yarn, or do customs until I improve. The website will remain open because I don't want to recreate it, or mess anything up so it doesn't work, but orders will be refunded and dismissed until I am better. This is very upsetting for me, as well as those wanting to buy items, but I have to put this on a back burner until I am better. WHEN I AM BETTER I will be coming back with some new exciting plans that were in the works before the injuries.

Just keeping everyone updated about custom season. Because of my injuries being persistent I am definitely going to have to delay custom season opening as my wrists and shoulder still do not allow crocheting. I'm hoping it will only be delayed at this point in time, and not cancelled entirely. It has been a stressful time of uncertainty so for now we will delay it by a month as end of June for customs. I hope I will be healed well before then. I thank everyone for being understanding during this time. Hopefully I'm not disappointing anyone waiting for hand made goods. I will remind that if you want something handmade, and don't wish to wait for it there are tons of hats, stitch markers and colorful yarns still for sale on the website. Every sale helps pay for bills to keep us going, and is so appreciated.

On the 5th I had an accident at work. I am still in pain from said accident with 2 sprained wrists among other injuries. Because crocheting is simply out of the question due to these injuries, I'm going to have to delay crochet commission season. While I focus on getting better there are still hats, yarns, and stitch markers for sale on the website. I thank all my customers as every sale matters and keeps us going.

Since crochet commission season is approaching, I figured I would make a FAQ so when you have a consultation these will not eat up the time.

1.Why is there a cost for consultations this year?

Last year we did tons of commissions. Being that this company is run by one person it can be time consuming to provide the customer service we wish to provide for each customer. You paying the commission fee is for 2 reasons, if we decide it's not something feasible timewise for me to do, or the company gets ghosted on commission we have something for the time. This will be deducted from final cost of the item. Hopefully this insures less resell/reposting of items.

2. Why do I have to pay for materials upfront. Before project is started?

As stated before we have been ghosted on projects before. Nothing is more disheartening than finishing a project you dedicated your time and energy to only to not be purchased or be able to resell. We work hard here to make sure the items we produce are quality and one of a kind to your specifications, and even check in with progress reports. We don't want to be stuck with a bill for materials for an abandoned project when those funds could go towards the companies bills or purchases to make more variety of items for our customers or things easier on this fiber artist to make the items. Patterns are expensive, as is yarn. We ask you pay upfront for them so we can focus on creating your item without us going in the red.

3. How long till my commission is completed after I paid for materials?

This really depends on the project. We don't encourage time limits or expectations, but do give updates on projects, include the customer in picking out available colors/materials etc. Of course crochet will always take time, but we will keep you informed every step of the way! We try to build not only an item that lasts, but an excellent customer service experience for you. We also offer local meet up/delivery for those who live close. We try to make it a great experience for you to recieve a new beloved item, and humbly ask for your patience as it is completed.

4. Why can't you make x pattern item for me?
Generally if we deny making an item it is because it would take a long time, longer than we feel comfortable charging for, or you waiting for. The other reason is measurements. Because this is an internet business, we do not want to make a lovely garment and not be able to check measurements while making said item.

5. What if I missed the commission window? When is the next available commission season?

Again this company is run and executed by one person. To avoid long waits, and frustrated customers we limit the custom orders on crochet every year. I will take a handful at a time, and then see if I can open it up again It all depends on what commissions are like how many batches of commissions I can complete. I try to do as many as I can without my arm falling off. Commission window for crocheted items is memorial day to labor day.

6. What if I ordered the item and have to cancel, will I be refunded?

We will try to work with you we understand stuff happens, and will wait up to 2 weeks after the item is completed for payment. It will be listed for general sale on the website after that. You will not be reimbursed for materials as that was still used. However the consultation fee will be refunded if item sells. We feel this is fair policy to protect the consumer, and the business equally.

All of these are our current policies. Policies may change if need be season to season.

Our supply chain issues have been rectified right before commission season opens!!! (Memorial day weekend.) We hope pairing with this wholesalers will be a better fit and ultimately more of a selection of size in the long run. I'll have to buy more at once, and might be a slight increase in price later, but we will see when we get to that point.

Went to go buy yarn from the distributor (my yearly restock purchase) and my distributor no longer exists! I have some undyed yarn still in some sizes, but now on the hunt for a new distributor so I can have no disruption in supply. Please be patient on custom orders because of this. Hoping to have it dealt with by this time next week. In the meantime there is still yarn on the website available.

I want to thank each and every customer this past year. Because of you guys made more this year than last year when I was expecting loss after starting the page over. Not in the black yet but....it matters to me that I had one less out of pocket expense. Commissions really helped with that, but This year we are getting back to our roots with hand dyed yarns.
