We are excited to announce a $1.7M SBIR award for our IOP for . The IOP data from this monitoring system is directly transmitted from the eye to a mobile phone, and then the cloud. This enables physicians to get alerts about clinically actionable fluctuations in IOP.
Treating is a shot in the dark without an idea of intraocular pressure fluctuations that occur every day. 's iOP-Connect system is based on an autonomous implantable sensor delivered in the office, and will provide with clinically actionable data while allowing patients to maintain their lifestyle.
We are in complete agreement with Dr. Bedrood. We feel that IOP requires continuous 24 hour monitoring through a sensor, to reduce the risk of vision loss and improve the quality of life for glaucoma patients.
In-vivo sensing devices are at the heart of digital health, and will collect real-time data that can assist doctors during telehealth visits during times such as these. Injectsense’s implantable iOP-Connect is smaller than a grain of rice and measures IOP 24/7 over years.
