This client of mine was previously wearing Gel-X extensions. After 8 weeks and one fill-in service, her natural nails were able to grow out in a healthy way. We then soaked-off the Gel-X and did a hard gel overlay on her beautiful, natural length.

This can also be achieved with hard gel extensions and nail forms however, extending short natural nails with hard gel and nail forms is typically a longer appointment than Gel-X extensions. Also, extensions with hard gel and nail forms can only be applied if the client has at least 1/8in of natural nail length. This is what makes Gel-X extensions perfect for short or bitten nails.
