Did you know chafing dishes, those large dishes designed to keep food toasty warm, have a long and illustrious history? Serving dishes very similar to chafing dishes were found in the ruins of Pompeii. They were kept warm with hot fire coals. Buffet options are available at The Riverdale but luckily, we do not use hot fire coals to warm them up!
