You may have seen the label on many of our coffee labels and wondered, what is Fair Trade? The Fair Trade Certified label is governed by an international body (Fairtrade Labeling Organization or FLO). FairTrade America is the organization that controls the use of the FairTrade Certified label in the United States. Users of the label (like us) are bound by contractual agreement to hold to an agreed set of principles.
The FairTrade Certified label ensures far more than simply paying extra money for the product; it addresses a host of other social justice issues, including:

✅ Direct Trade
✅ Democratic and Transparent Organizations
✅ Community Development
✅ Environmental Sustainability
The most critical component of the FairTrade Certified label is third party verification. All producers within the FairTrade Certification organization are verified by an independent, international certification agency, FLO-CERT GmbH.

Our varietal coffee from Nicaragua is now bird friendly certified! As coffee roasters, we always aim to purchase the best green beans possible. This includes how the green beans are grown, where they are grown, and the processing of the beans after they are picked.
What does bird friendly certified mean? It protects wildlife habitat, is certified organic, deforestation free, and guarantees a high quality of product. Bird friendly is the only certification that guarantees every coffee bean sold is grown in a way that protects habitat for birds and other wildlife.

We are so excited to announce the Brew Shot! This "True Brew" concentrate has taken years to perfect and is finally ready to be released. So what is Brew Shot? Imagine an espresso shot that never dies or goes bad after it is brewed. It’s also 30% stronger than espresso, so with the ability to dose out as much or little as you want, you can get more bang for your buck! Just add hot water to make an americano, or you can add it to any milk of your choice to make an iced latte on the go.
Brew Shot was primarily made for backpacking trips or camping out in the wild. That way, all you need is hot water and a cup so your pack load is lighter and you still get a delicious cup of coffee every morning. It will last up to 6 days stored out of the refrigerator and up to 3 months stored in the refrigerator.
Other instances you could use Brew Shot is while traveling to places you know have coffee you may not enjoy (the in-laws?) and will travel well in a checked bag.
