Wind down from the stress of the holiday season with the 5-4-3-2-1 grounding exercise. Grounding techniques may help you refocus on the present moment to distract yourself from anxious feelings. You can use grounding techniques to help create space from distressing feelings in nearly any situation.

It takes less than 2 minutes, and is a great way to introduce mindfulness into your daily routine! Pay attention to your breathing during the exercise, taking deep slow breaths to help relax your nervous system.
