Destination Ennis Updates 2024 Event Schedule
Due to Funding Shortfall Ennis, TX

For the past eight years, Destination Ennis
(AKA Ennis Main Street 501(c)(3)) has been dedicated to creating memorable experiences in Historic Downtown Ennis. Our work has been made possible through the generous support of sponsors, community members, and our valued partnership with the Ennis Economic Development Corporation. Every purchase at the Ennis Bluebonnet Spirit Shop, each $5 festival admission, and every beverage enjoyed at our Pavilion has contributed to our mission, and for that, we are deeply grateful.

Unfortunately, we are facing a reduction in sponsorship revenue, which means we must make some difficult decisions for our 2024 Fall and Winter event schedule. This means we will not be able to host the Hay Maze and Pumpkin Patch this year. Additionally, due to funding constraints, we may also need to make changes to the holiday schedule, the Amazing Snow Hill, Holiday Roller Skating, and possibly other attractions. We are actively working to explore alternative funding sources and solutions to address these challenges.

“These events play a crucial role in our community, and I know the decision to alter the schedule was not made lightly by the Board of Directors,” said Becky McCarty, City of Ennis Tourism Director and Staff Liaison. “These activities not only enhance our residents’ quality of life but also support our local downtown businesses.

However, to ensure that these events meet the high standards our community deserves, we need to carefully manage our resources.”At this time, all other events remain scheduled. Destination Ennis remains steadfast in our commitment to the well-being of the Ennis community, and we deeply appreciate your understanding and ongoing support. We are dedicated to finding ways to restore and enrich the events that bring us all together.

We warmly invite you to join us for Ennis Autumn Daze, The Biggest Little Fall Festival in Texas from October 25-27, where you can enjoy giant pumpkins, fantastic vendors, a giant corn pit, and a lively Carnival Midway.

In the evening, grab a bite to eat at and hear some more live music from 7-10 PM! (I heard there’s a new food truck on the schedule. 👀)
